Nut Free Homemade Energy Bites

Energy bars are a convenient as a snack, but often full of added sugar and other artificial ingredients. This is a healthy recipe for nut free homemade energy bites:

Ingredients:

Homemade Energy Bites

  • 2 tbsp sunflower butter
  • 2 tbsp coconut butter (we used a dark chocolate sea salt flavor)
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • ½ cup of pitted dates
  • 1 square of raw cacao butter
  • 2 squares of dark chocolate (70% or more)

Preparation:

Blend in blender or food processer the 2 squares of dark chocolate until a crumb-like consistence. Set aside in small bowl.

Combine remaining ingredients in blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. With hands, roll bite-sized pieces and dip in shaved dark chocolate crumbs. Place on parchment or wax-paper lined cookie sheet and freeze for 2+ hours and serve.
