Healthy Hildegard’s Booster Tonic

During the winter months, we typically drink more coffee and tea than we should. By the end of the day, we are exhausted from the caffeinated beverages. This booster tonic had a warming effect with a soothing, hydrating boost.

We´ve made a cup of this before a vigorous yoga practice and felt more hydrated and grounded than ever.


  • 1 tbsp. freshly ground ginger root
  • 1 tbsp. dried lavender flowers
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • ⅛ tsp. cayenne


Combine lavender flower and ginger root in a teapot, kettle, or saucepan.

Booster Tonic


Add hot water or heat on low boil. Let steep for 10 minutes. Add lemon juice, honey, and cayenne to the mix. Strain and enjoy!
